solidThinking announces the first channel partner in South Africa

solidThinking Inc has announced that it has signed productONE as its first channel partner in South Africa.

“We are very excited to introduce solidThinking Inspire to this region through our newest partner,” said Gronum Smith, Country Manager for Altair South Africa.

Parent company of solidThinking, Altair acquired EM Software & Systems SA (EMSS), the developer of the FEKO electromagnetics analysis suite, in June 2014. Today, FEKO is now part of Altair’s HyperWorks® simulation suite, and Stellenbosch has become the centre of operations for Altair to support clients in South Africa with applying technologies like HyperWorks and solidThinking Inspire.

solidThinking Inspire enables design engineers, product designers, and architects to create and investigate structurally efficient concepts quickly and easily. The software is easy to learn and works with existing CAD tools to help design structural parts right the first time, reducing costs, development time, material consumption, and product weight.

solidThinking Inspire focuses on enhancing the concept development process by proposing designs that can be rapidly iterated and easily exported to the user’s preferred computer-aided design (CAD) tool. There is a strong emphasis on ease of use, while adding new features like geometry simplification tools for easier model setup and analysis to help users verify their concepts, all directly in the Inspire interface. These new features will allow the design community to apply Inspire to a much broader set of design problems.
