With the DMU 70 ecoline, DMG Mori is now offering a further high-accuracy universal milling machine for 5-sided machining of simple to highly complex workpieces in the entry-level sector alongside the highly popular DMU 50 ecoline.
With longer travels and more powerful spindles, the DMU 70 ecoline continues the successful concept of 5-sided machining for price-conscious and quality-oriented users. Following the success of the DMU 50 ecoline, DMG MORI is now offering a universal maestro in its entry-level range in the form of the DMU 70 ecoline, which, with significantly longer axis travels of 750 × 600 × 520 mm in X / Y / Z, also enables complex workpieces to be machined precisely and efficiently.
Furthermore, the machine features digital drives and hydraulic clamping. A powerful 12,000 rpm milling spindle as well as rapid traverse rates of 24 m/min in the linear axes ensure high performance, while the 32-pocket SK40 chain tool magazine with double gripper provides the necessary versatility. Moreover, the machine comes with a 3D quickSET for precision calibration of the machine kinematics and is automation-ready. The user can choose between two CNCs: Siemens 840D with Operate 4.5 and Heidenhain TNC 620 – both integrated into the ergonomic SLIMline® Panel.
